Can't install RMC3 or RMC4

Hi,

I just got a new computer and when I tried to install RMC3 and RMC4, I got two error messages.

For RMC3, it say that the registration code had been used too many times, something which had never been mentioned until today, and I have only reinstalled RMC3 on my Windows XP machine 'cause it sometimes required it. I also made sure to uninstall RMC from my XP machine.

And for RMC4, it said that the path was missing.

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit as a non-admin user. I would really appreciate some assistance! I love RMC!

Hey there

Please open up a ticket with Customer Service for issue #1 - they'll need to reset your license code for you.

With regards to RMC4, please DISABLE UAC on your windows 7 Machine - and let me know if that makes a difference.

Yay! Applain support reset my registration code (Thank you Applian!) and then I did was I made my account an admin account and then installed RMC and it worked.

BTW, is there a reason why I can't use RMC with IE, and will this change in future releases of RMC? How about when IE9 comes out? I'm a Chrome user, but I IE9 is looking very nice.

The message above states that RMC doesn't work with I.E. when UAC is turned ON. You can just turn it off or use a better browser like Chrome, Firefox or Opera.

But why is that IE8 and RMC don't work when the UAC is turned on? RMC4 and Chrome work great :-)
