Recordings chopped into random time lengths. Up to 70 files per scheduled recording.

I have set A/V to record Sirius for the last few years through stream capture, a 6.5 hour scheduled recording. A few weeks ago my recordings started to be cut into random file (time) lengths and sometimes I have 60 to 70 separate files per recording time. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the software, upgraded the software and turned off the automatic file conversion with no effect. I'm running Vista service pack two. Has anyone had a similar experience? Is there something else I could try or should I send in a tech report ticket with log?
