I downloaded the demo version of Replay Media Catcher and was rather annoyed when it installed the FLV Player and then made itself the default player of FLV files.

I use FLV Splitter and ffdshow to play back FLV files in Windows Media Player 11 so I wasn't exactly pleased to have FLV Player open when trying to play FLV files. Especially because FLV has severe performance issues when playing back FLV files.

I had to manually edit the registry to fix which I shouldn't have had to do. While I was at it I deleted FLV Player. If I wanted it, I would have downloaded it.

If you want people to pay $40 for a program, the least it should do is ask before it goes about changing settings. Even Real Networks doesn't do that anymore.
