I've been trying to get WM Capture to work with DirectTV DVR software that plays on your laptop. so far I just get audio with a black screen. The WMCapture help people haven't been able to help so far, and the Windows 7 message help board hasn't either, they like to give vague technical answer with no real help. I tried the "Hardware Acceleration" fix, but there is no such animal on Windows 7, and the settings area on the capture program just tells you how to do it on XP, not a big help. I'd really be upset if I had bought this already, fortunately I haven't, but actually I'd like to if I could only get it to work properly. You'd think the company would have a fix for this? Does anyone know of a fix for this?

Go to the "Settings" of the program and see the right top corner. Also read the User guide.

Tried that, doesn't work. read the guide. I think the problem is a Windows 7 problem. There is no way that I have found to shut down Hardware acceleration liked in XP.

I am new to this. Recording a 75 minute Flash of a Powerpoint talk recording screen capture (with cursor) with voice-over on a professionally produced CD.
Got a good recording of the audio (full 75 minutes) and video was fine until EXACTLY 10 minutes when screen went black with microsoft logo drifting around in background.
Does this help you track down the cause of the black screen?
This is using XP in Parallels on a MacBook Pro running snow leopard on a solid state 256 G hard drive.
Thanks for your assistance.

Ha!
Just looked in
Control Panel
Appearance & Themes
Display Properties
Screen Saver
It was set at 10 minutes
I have re-set at 90 minutes
NOW let's see.

I also have been unable to record anything from the Directtv DVR.. and support is NO help.
I was able to save some videos from DVR by hooking it directly into a DVD disk recorder.. then TV into the DVD recorder.
I no longer have the DEV recorder.

I would welcome any suggestions, Thanks, Ken

This is not easy and it is dependent on your system. Try and use Basic instead of enhanced and see if that works for you
