I downlowaded the trial version of Replay Music, and still makes a lot of bunch files. Even the audio I am recording doesn't have any silence in between.
The free recording tool on the toolbar will create a new file when it detects silence. If you are looking for a more robust audio recorder, check out Replay Music (http://www.applian.com/replay-music/).
