Car CD Compatibility

I currently use Replay AV8 to record NPR shows that I then transfer to CD's for listening in my automobiles. The CD player in my 2003 vehicle plays these CD's just fine but the one in my 2001 vehicle gives me an error message and spits the CD back out. What am I doing wrong?

Your older car doesn't take an mp3 format would be my guess. Burn an audio CD for it and it should work fine.
