Hi, I'm running Replay AV8 on Windows 7 64-bit and am having some problems.

I record several online streaming radio stations to put on my iPod and listen while at work. I use the stream capture option and this usually works fine, but for one station in particular it reconnects several times and won't record it properly.

If I try to capture the audio from the speakers, it doesn't capture any of the audio at all, in fact the equalizer bar in Replay AV8 doesn't oscillate at all. But if I were to play an mp3 and record the audio from the speakers, that works fine. The website audio is an embedded Windows Media Player.

Any help would be appreciated, one of my favourite shows of the week is on tonight and I don't want to miss it again!

Thanks!

With Windows 7 it is sometimes difficult to capture an audio stream due to the way DRM is handled with windows media player. To do an audio capture you would use the Replay AV Audio Driver. If you still have a problem let us have the link so we can look into it for you.

I'm having the same problem. I've been using Replay Radio 4 on Windows XP since 2003? ..a long time and i don't recall having so many issues as I have with this new version which I had to install since I have a new PC (Windows 7).

It's just so buggy!! I tried to record the following 2 streams. One works the other doesn't. It's driving me nuts:

GPB - georgia public radio: http://mediam1.gpb.org/GPB-Radio-LiveH

These do not work!!!

VPR - Vermont public radio: http://www.vpr.net/vpr_files/stream_playlists/vprmid.asx

and
http://vpr.streamguys.net/vpr96.mp3

Tuner comes up but the sound bar shows no input. I'm using the Replay Radio AV driver too.
I feel that I have wasted 10 bucks on the upgrade for this program that performs less reliably than Replay Radio 4. I might ask for a refund if I can't it to work.

I record Here and Now from VPR every weekday with no problems whatsoever. Try using instead:

http://vpr.streamguys.net:8000/vpr96.mp3

...which works perfectly for me in Replay A/V.

Edit: I'm using "Capture by downloading streams," not "Recording audio output;" if I want to play the file while it's recording, I simply load the .cap file into the player (WinAmp, Windows Media Player, whatever). Since it's a simple MP3 stream, it works just fine. (I also record the station from the same URI on a linux box using the freeware streamripper, so I'm certain this URI works well.)

Replay AV works differently than Replay Radio. You want to take advantage of stream capture. Use the URL Finder under tools to find a good URL. Go to Tools-URL Finder. Then open up the URL you want to record.

We have some great tutorials that really help you use Replay AV to the best advantage. Please take a look at them and see if they answer some of your questions.
