I've been using Replay Music with Rhapsody for years. My annual subscription is due in February and was looking to switch to Napster so just started a trial.

I am using RM with Rhapsody client, generally works OK, Tagging is not great, but sound is fine. Windows 7 64 bit, IE8.

Tried Napster - client, and web versions on IE 8 and Chrome and in each case I'm getting "dropouts", it's worse with Web versions. Worse if I just move the mouse around. Saving on Napster won't be worth it if I can't record. Also noticed if I STOP RECORDING on RM, stream then is flawless (on Web version at least). :(

It is hard to record Napster due to the way they handle the stream. We prefer some of the other programs-especially with Windows 7 and Vista. Most people have better success with the web based version of Napster. Also, make sure you are using the latest version.
