I read that there is a 4GB file size limit on FAT32 partitions, but I am saving to an NTFS partition.

Splitting the file after it has been recorded is not possible because recording halts at 4GB.
Can you shed any light on whether Replay AV splits on-the-fly?

You are able to set up a recording with AV to split after so many minutes of recording in the properties.

Thank you Cheryl. The question is can it be done on the fly or does Replay AV split when the recording is done?

You set the program up to split when you set up a recording in the properties of the show.

The problem is that the computer crashes when the file is over 4GB. So when I set up splitting in the properties of the show will Replay AV split in real time or after the recording is done?

The program is going to split in real time. If you set it to split every 60 minutes, as an example, it is going to split every 60 minutes and start a new file for you.
