This program locks every browser

I have had intermitent success in using this program. Sometimes, depending on the order I start everything it works; most of the time it locks up the browser. I have tried opera, IE, firefox and chrome and had the same response with all. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software, which I find a ridiculous, to try and get this program to work.

I am running Vista 64 and have done every step I have found in these forums ranging from cache clear to reinstallation.

This is really frustrating. There has to be a fix and not these "duct tape" hot fixes for something that is purchased. These problems would be expected of shareware, not something I am paying for.

I would appreciate a fix so I can start using this program consistently.

This is usually the result of another program clashing with Media Catcher. Here is a list of things that we know can cause this problem:

Ad-Muncher
LiveMesh
CounterSpy
SpySweeper
ZoneAlarm
CA Anti-Spyware Utility
Comodo
Vista Transformation Pack
Net Nanny
Threatfire

If you have any of these or a similar app running on your computer, try shutting them down while Media Catcher is running. If it is not one of the known apps this can be difficult to pinpoint.

I have read this response in other posts and I do not have any of this software installed. By locking up I mean the browser freezes and stops working so I have to shut it down and typically restart my PC before it works again.
