Capturing streaming audio from Spotify works great but when I attempt to capture audio book streaming via an applet the recorded gets all choppy.
The sound through the speakers sounds good but the recordings don't. Ideas anyone?

Thanx

What program are you using?

The service I'm trying to record is an audio book service that uses a java applet to stream the audio. The program I'm recording with is Replay Music version 3.60 05-13-2009. The java version on my PC is Sun JRE 1.6.0_13.

Update to our latest version and see if that works. Just download the demo and it will enter your activation code for you.

Also, try a different audio recording source-ie try stereo mix if you are using our driver and see if that works better in this instance.

Ok, I updated to the latest version 3.70 07-11-2009 and tried out lots of combinations of sample rate and input source settings. The result is that same, it works great with spotify but very poorly when sampling through this java applet eventhough the sound is perfect throgh the speakers. I tried it on another PC at home as well with the exact same results.

Perhaps a different program would work better with this. Replay Media Catcher (http://www.applian.com/replay-media-catcher/demo.php)and Replay Video Capture (http://www.applian.com/replay-video-capture/demo.php)are both excellent programs for you to try.
