DirectShowsource could not open video or audio

All of a sudden I'm not able to convert my FLV files to .avi. All I get is a fuzzy red screen message that I think says Directshowsource could not open video or audio , or I think that is what it says it is a bit small and unclear. There is more to the message but effectivly no converted file. using the troubleshoot option does not help What is happening? Please help me :eek:

This sounds like a format that our program is not able to convert. There are a few of them out. Our developer is always working on adding file conversions to the program. Where did you get the file? What did you record it with? Thanks.

the flv files were generated by replay media catcher so that cannot be the answer

Hi Otis,

Not ALL files we can record are able to be converted, but the majority are.

At any rate, Can you please provide me with the URL of the audio/video you're trying to record and convert, so we can trouble shoot the issue?

I don't have the urls as they are extant as I recoreded from BBC iPlayer but it now seems that replay converter will not change ANY files even ones that previously worked

I am having this same issue. Below is a link to one of these files. They record fine FLV format, but will not convert.
