RMC 5 locks up

Hi -

I am on Windows 8.1 x64 and went to run RMC 5 today but it locked up. At first I was running version 5.0.1.7 and I received a message about Network monitor not loading. I noticed there was an update available though so I updated and rebooted.

Now RMC freezes up whenever I go to access settings and I cannot close it or even kill it in Task Manager - a reboot is the only thing that works.

I have tried uninstalling RMC and the Network Monitor, removing all user settings and reinstalling but no luck. I even tried just removing Network Monitor but RMC still thinks it is installed...

Ideas?

This could be just a minor bug. Have you tried to run this as compatibility mode? Try to see if it makes a difference. https://imagicon.info/cat/14-16/1.gif
