hmm, are you logged in as an admin? If not, what type of user rights?

If you are not the Administrator of the PC then, contact the Admin
account....

If you are the "Admin" of the account and, you don't recall doing any admin
registry/changing configurations...your machine maybe compromised by spyware/malware parasites...try running Regedit.exe in windows if you are the
admin and, you see: "Registry editor has been disabled by your admin"
and, ofcourse you dont recall doing that. Then either try to see the admin setting configuration to resolve the issue.

Are you using this at home or work? If at home, you want to make sure the account on your computer is set to give you adminsitrator (full pc) rights in order to use the software properly.

If you're using it at work, let me know and we'll try to figure something out as well . :)

Thanks

You might need to run the other method of audio. Open up the settings of Replay Video Capture and run the audio/test to see what you should use. Also, check out the User Guide for further information and troubleshooting.

1. I've been using Media Catcher for a week on my Toshiba Satellite
A65-51762 WinXP laptop for a week with no problems.
2. I encountered a video in Microsoft Silverlight that MC wouldn't capture.
3. I installed Video Capture.
4. Get Windows couldn't find the video frame.
5. I changed the settings to use Full Screen
6. The resulting video had garbled sound with a hum. I used
the laptops Realtek AC-97 Audio.
7. I tried the universal audio. I think I got the same results.
8. I tried setting the markers around the video frame. I got the green
box but an empty recording.
9. CTRL+F12 does not toggle Record/Stop
10. I have a Logitech USB AudioHub for sound rather than the
laptop speakers.
11. Is Silverlight recording resistant?
12. What to do?
13. What should my settings be?

Thanks

To get the best quality video with Replay Video Capture - especially on slower machines - try the following:

1. Go to Settings, and make sure you are using the MPEG-2 video format. Also, you may want to click on "Recommended Settings" at the top and select the most fitting option according to your pc configuration.

2. Try recording from a smaller video window by resizing your player to 1/4 of your screen, or no more than 480x640 pixels. This won't affect the video quality (since video is scaled UP from smaller sizes to fit a full-screen picture). This will require less computer power to capture, which will make for smoother videos.
