Replay Music 5 recording limited frequency response (no bass)

I recently purchased and installed RM 5.55 on my HP notebook. The software seems to behave and tag songs properly, but on playback they have no bass. It seems to be a pretty high roll-off (maybe 250 hz?).

Have I set something incorrectly?

You might need to adjust the volume as the program is going to record what it hears. This is the first I have heard of this issue. Thanks.
