don't tell me about replay media catcher 4 because doesn't fit with my needs. version 3.11 registers sources which version 4 can't (in my experience)

I've got no idea if it works or not. We've done testing for (the program you don't want us to mention) and it's working great, but not sure about 3.11. 3.11 was designed before windows 7 even came out, was optimized for XP and Vista - I'm not sure about Windows 8, though it works fine on 7

We have not updated RMC 3 in over 3 years (give or take a few months)...

As I dont' have Windows 8 Myself yet, the best thing for you to do would be to install the demo of RMC 3.11b (http://applian.com/files/RCATSetup311B.exe) on your Windows 8 set up and see if it functions, or not.

I CAN tell you that RMC 4 works fine, however We won't be making any updates to RMC 3, as it is out of date technology and has been replaced with a later version that does (in most peoples opinions) work much better than the prior version.
