Smile RSS feeds: New updates on products and forum posts

I was wondering if you will be posting in these forums when you release a new version either as a minor or major upgrade or any changes? That seems like it would be helpful. It would also be helpful to state what the latest versions are. I just downloaded all new releases yesterday so I am pretty sure that I am currently up todate. Just a suggestion.

Default Use their RSS feed

You can set up an RSS feed on this page to keep up with product updates:

Hi Susi,

Thanks for the suggestion. Product versions and updates are already available from a link on our home page as well as under the Support tab. This Updates section is kept current when any product is updated with new features or fixes. This section can be found directly on this page:

Regards,

Tom Mayes

Default New Posts

I know I can see the last day of new posts but is it possible to set this site up so that we can see any new posts since our last log in? I know I can do todays posts and yesterday but I am wondering if we can go back any further without looking at every forum and all the new threads. Thanks
Susi

Default Look for the visual cues

Any forum that has new messages you have not read will have an orange background and two messages like this:

Forums that have no new messages will look like this:

Topics within a forum that have new messages will have a downward pointing arrow just to the left of the topic title:

Click it and it will take you to the first message that you have not read.

Actually, now that I look at it, it appears that those color schemes above only work for forums to which you have set up a subscription.

Default I am wondering if the forum can be tied to the RSS FEED

I have the toolbar which is very nice and easy to see what is new. Can you tie these forums to the rss feed for the new postings?

Do I have to subscribe to all the forums to keep up with all of them? Is there a way to subscribe to all of them without doing them individually? Thanks, Susi

Hi Susi,

RSS feed for the forums:
Code:
http://forum.applian.com/external.php?type=RSS2
Also if you click on the "New Posts" link in the top menu and you'll see a list of all posts since you last visited.

when I click on new posts I only get things that are within the last 24 hours. Not since my last log on. Am I doing something wrong. I just click on New posts.

Can I add a new RSS feed to your toolbar? If so, HOW please. I am not as intuitive at the computer stuff as the younger generation but since I have been retired for over 10 years now I guess I am doing pretty well. Susi
