Default Recording problems

I would start recording a station of yours but nothing would record until I hit record then play for the station. This I would let run for hours at a time, and when I stopped recording I would go to 'my recording' for the results and I would see 75 files of the recorded file ranging from 4 sec to 60+ minutes.
1) Why does this happen?
2) Is there a way to set a separator for 60 minutes?

Thanks
Marty

Hi Marty,

If you're having trouble recording, try the different options available for Line, under Settings in Freecorder. Different sound cards have different options available, so sometimes you need to experiment. To record what you hear over your speakers, you will usually see one of the following: Stereo Mix, Stereo Out, Wave Out Mix, What U Hear, Wave, Mix-Record or All. You will usually see a selection for Microphone or Line In -- use these settings to record sound piped into the microphone or line-in jacks on your PC respectively.

Our Troubleshooter will help you with problems recording:

Let me know if this helps at all.

Default Timing Out ?

I can watch my SLINGBOX live with no problems with cutting out etc.
However, when I record and specify any time from 30 mins to hours at any time from a couple of minutes to anywhere during the recording it stops recording and says "TIMED OUT"

Do you have a registered version of Freecorder. The free version does limit you to 30 minutes of recording.
