I'm using Replay AV 8.42 on Vista Ultimate 32-bit, but lately when the program tunes to a scheduled show, the Replay tuner pops up, says "Connecting" and then almost instantly changes to "Ready," where it often sits forever and doesn't try to re-tune. However, I can click Replay Tuner's Play (>) button and the station will buffer and begin playing.
FYI, I have Replay AV set (File > Settings) to start connecting 10 sec prior to record time, retune after 90 sec of silence (stream capture timeout of 90 sec), and Retry tuning 20 times if fails. I always record thru Stereo Mix and record as MP3's. Any ideas? Thanks, Alan F. |

There are a few stations that this happens with due to the way they stream. It should not be happening with all of your streams, however.
Turn OFF User Account Control: Open Control Panel Go to User Accounts Click on Turn User Account Control on or off Click continue to verify. De-Select the Use User Account Control (UAC)... Click OK Re-start your computer Also, make sure that tuner.exe and guide.exe are allowed in your windows firewall exception tab. You might need to browse in order to add these if you have not added them already to your firewall. |
