Hello.

I love your Freecorder Toolbar extension for Firefox 3. It's exactly I was looking for.
Though, I have several suggestions/ideas to improve your software.


1. Which version do I have ?
Nowhere on this page one can know which version is the latest. You can just know that there's an old 2.0 version available for download (btw, why do you still allow to download this version since there's a newer one available ?).

You have to go to the user guide page to know that "Freecorder Toolbar 3" is the latest one.

To be sure what version I had, I clicked on the little black arrow next to the Freecorder button and on "About" to know that I had version "1.5.43.0" ...

So.. when you download Freecorder Toolbar 3.. it installs the extension version 1.5.43.0 ? It's not very clear.. I think you should add "Freecorder Toolbar 3" above all text in the small About message box and add "version 3" on this page.



2. Upgrade problem.
When you Upgrade, you're directed to a page which updates your Firefox extension even if you already have the latest one..



3. More options to customize the toolbar.
3.a The Community button
Would it be possible to hide this button ? It's useless to me. (... but I know some people could find this button useful).

3.b The "Freecorder logo" button
Same, it's not possible to hide this button or to make it smaller..

3.c The search bar.
I would like to completely hide the "Freecorder's search bar" and Go button but I don't find the option to do that. Could you allow that in a future version?

Firefox 3 already have a search bar. That's why I would like to be able to hide yours...



4. Translation
I think it would be cool to be able to translate Control buttons labels (Go, Record, Stop, Pause, Play, Settings) into other languages.

Maybe there's a configuration file used by Freecorder Toolbar that could be edited manually (or is it hardcoded) ?



5. Shrink
I LOVE this option. Don't remove it. NEVER !



6. Radios Streams
Would it be possible to add Shoutcast and Icecast radio streams ?
That would make thousands of radios available !!

Hi There!

The Freecorder 2 is a separate program from the toolbar. Freecorder 2 sits on your desktop. This is confusing..I know.
I don't believe we have "near future" plans for updating Freecorder, but you definitely have some great ideas that I will pass on.

I am very sad to read that.
I hope there will still be updates in the future. Maybe not tomorrow but maybe the day after ?
