Default Any chance for updated MP3 Magic?

I used versions 1.21 and 2.01 of MP3 Magic to split podcasts into short files (1-2 minutes) because my RCA Lyra remembers only the track number being played at power down. Both versions will occasionally fail to split a podcast. I assume it's something in the MP3 encoding that they don't handle properly. Any chance for an update? Or could the Media Splitter be enhanced with the ability to carve a file into multiple files of equal length?

At this time we do not have plans to update MP3 Magic. Thanks. I will suggest your idea to the developers-perhaps in a future edition.
