Default freecorder problem

I have a problem with the freecorder 3. It records ok but then when I go to play the recording it doesn`t play well in the windows media player. It simply goes so fast that you hear only a beep like, sound for a second or two.Does anyone has this problem?
And the thing is that it played well up to 2 weeks ago.I did not do anything to the settings.
