url is no longer detected in url finder when playing audio in BBC iPlayer. Previously it was possible to get around this by selecting the “play in pop-out player” option and selecting “use lower bandwidth version”. The play icon would change from white on black to white on blue and the url would appear in the url finder window. Are others experiencing the same thing? Is there another way around this?

BBC iplayer was changed on 22 Oct 09 and no longer transmits real player files (.ra) and other unannounced changes This is possibly why the replay A/V can no longer detect url in iplayer. I have searched for a solution without success. Any body else got any ideas.

BBC iPlayer started using RTMP .flv streams. They can be recorded with Replay Media Catcher, however the latter program doesn't support scheduling.
Do you need RTMP support in Replay AV and/or scheduling support in Replay Media Catcher? Vote and tell your opinion. You can also find Windows Media URLs for the most popular radio stations: Quote:

I'm having trouble with recording both WM and iPlayer archive streams from the BBC. When I record a BBC London WM stream of a 2-hour program live using RAV, it often breaks up into 10 files, each about 8-15 minutes. (I have another installation of RAV where this does not happen.)
When I try to record the same show as an iPlayer stream using RMC, it usually cuts off before it's over. I usually have to try 3 or 4 times before I get the entire program. Could it be my internet connection itself? (It's Comcast.) Are there any settings I could tweak in either program? |

The Replay A/V URL finder may not be working but RM files are still being produced by BBC (I think until March 2010).
To find the URL so that you can record Listen Again, try this site http://www.iplayerconverter.co.uk/choose_aod.aspx and select the radio station. A link is shown - that code is the PID (Programme ID). Go to the Convert iPlayer PID tab and enter code. It will display the URL that can be entered manually into Replay A/V. As the site mentions, BBC use XML to publish their programmes so the information displayed is up to date. Phil |

I have been working ALL DAY to try to download and extract audio content from the BBC player. The utilities I've found online wouldn't work, or they wanted a lot of money for licence keys, and I was about to tear out my hair when I found your bulletin board. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
