Quick Audio Record not working

I'm trying to record from a line-in input. It's worked for me in the past, but not now. Both Quick Audio Record and Record Audio from Mic/Line don't work. I can hear the input on my computer speakers. Already uninstalled and reinstalled. :confused:

Windows XP pro. No headset; I can hear the line-in through my computer speakers.
