I have an application for this wonderful software that requires the recording of silence. Is there any way in Freecorder to record the silent parts of an audio stream?
Thank you,

I believe it should work for you. In the settings make sure that you don't have elimimate silence selected. Also, make sure that you don't select pause when there isn't any sound and it should keep on recording for you.

I just can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
I get video.
No audio.
This is the listing on the prompt:
Audio Device:
Conexant Audio Imput
Default
No Audio
Replay Radio Driver Record
Audio Recording Line:
CD Audio
Microphone
wave Out Mix
When ever I hide the Icon the computer has locked up the last two times.
I had to turn it computer off to get it to come back on with out the recorder.
I use the AV without problems.
I use the WM without problems.

It looks like your system is missing some of the methods necessary to record from Freecorder. Try and update your drivers and see if that corrects the issue. Another suggestion is to do a search for your driver + stereo mix.

Hello,
I'm having the same problem (more or less). I had an older version or freecorder which was great, I just got a new computer now and downloaded the only freecorder version I could find (Freecorder toolbar). It's very important for me to be able to record pauses and silence.
I tried to find the option mentioned under settings, but there isn't one! Is this maybe cause mine is a free version? Should I still be able to find this "elimminate silence" option?
thanks a million,
Taís

The toolbar does not have an option to eliminate silence.

well I've just downloaded the toolbar and every time there's a pause in the audio stream the recording stops and another file is created when the sound starts again. This way there's no pause and a lot of files. Is there a way to keep everything in one file WITH the silence?
