Hi, I have just installed the app successfully and recorded a couple of songs. However both tracks are split in two, one 400KB and the other 2980KB. The record audio dialogue box said 3380KB. Anyone have the same problem, any soution?

Yep, the software senses the silences and splits the recording at that point. It looks like it uses a value of say 1 second and when it sees a silence of that length then assumes you want a new mp3 file. Somewhere in this forum someone asked for a feature to adjust the time that the software uses - can't remember the exact answer but they said it's a feature for the future.
I've recorded streaming spoken word programmes and get these split files a lot. I use the program MergeMP3 to merge them together - it's on this web site (http://www.shchuka.com/software/mergemp3/). It's free although donations are requested. It's dead easy to use and you can merge a large number of files easily - i've done 80-odd files! I don't know whether it decodes and recodes the mp3 or not (thus losing some quality in the process). It is really fast to merge the files.
FYI, I also use mp3DirectCut if you have the other problem - the mp3 is in one big file and you need to chop it up. I know for sure that this one does not decode and re-encode the file, so it does preserve the quality. It is a bit strange to get used to at first but is also very quick. Find it on this web site (http://mpesch3.de1.cc/mp3dc.html).
Hope this helps.
