Hi there,
I'm trying to install the toolbar but I get an error message after completing the form at the beginning of the process (where it asks you if you want to set your homepage to Ask.com or whatever it says).
The installation starts, files seem to unpack and then I get a message saying:
"Windows cannot find 'C:\users\....path....\NEWD136.tmp.exe'"
Any ideas how I get past this point?
thanks

Same here ! I found my antivirus software blocks the «NEW????.tmp.exe» file as a virus (the «????» is changing at each install try). Is this really a virus ?

I can find the filename in my 'temp' directory but it's empty - zero bytes. Obviously I'm a bit reluctant to just turn off the anti-virus software on the off chance...............

Somehow I can't see that this is really a virus. These pages would be swamped with complaints! I'm assuming you downloaded it from the Applian web site rather than from some third party mirror.
Which anti-virus package do you run? I run AGV Free Edition and it doesn't flag it up. Stating the obvious I think but.... try updating the definitions on your anti-virus package and try again and see if it still causes a problem.

I finally took the risk and disabled my anti-virus software (Bell sympatico) during installation. It succeeded. But now i have this new problem. It won't save video. When trying to save through the Save Video window, i got the following message: «Sorry... Failed to copy media to the storage directory.»

Is there a specific site that this is happening on?

Did you make any changes to the directory? Can you check your settings and make sure that the storage directory is a valid location? Click Play and see if it opens anything.
