Starting a recording is very difficult....

Getting Ask & Record to start recording is very difficult and unreliable, and only starts one time in about 30 or so attempts, which is of course rather frustrating. Once it starts it works fine its just that one cannot rely on it starting when you want it to. The record window displays the message "waiting for audio.." but nothing happens, even though audio is playing. This is in Firefox 3.0.10. :mad:

I have noticed a similar problem and the only soulution I have discoverd it to try several sites for the audio files you are trying to record. I use the record audio only to record music and I have three sites I use to do so, if I can not record from one site I almost always can from one of the other two sites I use. The three sites I use are imeem.com youtube.com and lastfm.com I use them in that order as I have more success with imeem.com than I do with either of the other two sites and youtube is more reliable than lastfm however between the three sites I rarely have problems if I do continue to have problems they usually seem to resolve themselves within a day or so when I go back and try again. Application does not recognize streaming video audio, even if I press Record first and then enter the link to the video stream - sits there and says Waiting for audio. Is there some type of configuration change needed to recognize audio from a video stream? The product claims that "you can use the Record Audio tool to make MP3 files from ANYTHING you hear on your PC". I can hear the audio but not record it.
