Big Problem with Ask & Record Toolbar

I used the toolbar to record about 15 songs from youtube and this worked perfectly. However now when i press record audio, the box just remains blank and says waiting for audio. Ive turned the sound up, ive fiddled with the mixer panel but nothing changes.

I have reinstalled the software but nothing changes.

Earlier today i tried recording and it worked, however when i tried to convert the files there were none of the ones i had recorded there :(.

Please help me.

I have also noticed a problem where the record audio only works some of the time and that if I return to something that it would not record before sometimes it will I do not know what causes this issue however I have found something like a work around if something I want to record on youtube is not working I try to record it from another free site such as imeem.com or lastfm.com between those three sites I rarely have problems recording it from at least one of them. I hope this helps.:D

Same problem here, but its never worked for me.

I noticed that it never recorded when my microphone was plugged in. For some reason, it does the same when I have a USB flash drive in my computer.
SOLUTION! Unplug any and all USB devices, excepting simple cables and USB mouses/keyboards. My external hard drive seems to not interfere either.
